Cuts Watch #63: Cuts at the Borders and Immigation Agency

1,700 posts will be cut this year at the UK Border Agency. Responding the announcement, PCS stated that it believes further staff cuts are being planned and that advice services provided by the Agency will inevitably suffer.

    So on the one hand the Daily Mail (irrationally) hates asylum seekers but on the other they are being successful in their campaign to get rid of the very people (civil servants) who can deal with their cases.

    That noise you can hear isn’t a vuvuzela: it’s my mind boggling.
