The government has postponed the guarantee of universal 2Mbps broadband to 2015. The last government guaranteed that every community would have access to fast broadband connections – 2 Megabytes per second or faster – by 2012. Speaking at a broadband industry event yesterday, Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt admitted that this target was being put back to 2015.

Shame it wasn’t cut completely. Taxpayers money being used to increase land values, without having a land value tax in place, is the sort of moral hazard that got us here in the first place.
