Across the country local capital projects are being put on hold as a result of spending cuts. In Torbay, the Castle Circus Regeneration Project is facing cut backs, with the Community Hub elements, including the cafe and community meeting rooms, not on hold. Residents of Whitby will now no longer benefit from a new park and ride scheme, in Bradford the City Park scheme is facing cuts and in Kent, new road and bike safety schemes have been suspended.
