Cuts Watch #170: Jobs at QinetiQ

03 Aug 2010, by in Cuts Watch

Defence and security company QinetiQ today announced plans to cut 325 jobs from its UK operations, on top of the 391 redundancies announced last month. The defence cuts and uncertainty about the defence review are widely believed to have contributed to the company’s decision. Prospect reports that most redundancies will be at Boscombe Down, near Salisbury and that nearly 1,000 workers will be told they are at risk of redundancy – in addition to over 600 employees already in this position from the previous redundancy.
