Twenty-four days of market excess: the ETUC’s bonus watch advent calendar
As if the cuts and Christmas weren’t enough to cause problems for stressed out Europeans, the European Trade Union Confederation has launched a Bonus Watch advent calendar on its home page, with a new jaw-dropping fact every day about how we’re definitely not all in it together. Today’s grim news is that while workers at the global consumer goods company Reckitt Benckiser got a measly 2% wage increase this year, big boss Bart Becht got a £92.6 million pay packet!
