Robin Hood Tax: US looks on in envy…
The European Parliament vote in favour of a Robin Hood Tax sparked coverage in media all over Europe (including this in the Guardian), and now US commentators are getting in on the cat, rather enviously. The AFL-CIO’s Heather Slavkin says:
It’s time for Washington, D.C., to follow Europe’s lead and pass a financial speculation tax in the United States.
And over at uber-blog the Huffington Post, IPS’ Sarah Anderson says:
This week’s vote signaled that many key European leaders are no longer willing to let the Obama administration hold them back.
